Reconstruction of US 41 (SR45) is a $12M project changing 3 miles of rural two lane highway into a modern four land divided highway with multi use path in 600 days of construction through Land O'Lakes, Florida all the while maintaining traffic flow. Two signalized intersections were added as well as 26,000 linear feet of storm drainage improvements and five storm water management ponds.

The Gandy Boulevard Project consisted of the widening of this 4 lane divided highway to a 6 lane divided highway. This two mile project from Grand Avenue to Martin Luther King Boulevard also consisted of the milling, resurfacing (friction course), and striping within the project limits. Also included were drainage improvements within the median area. As part of the construction, the 16th Street intersection was realigned with new signalization (mast arms); and 94th Avenue was widened including separators and associated striping.

Also included in this project was the construction of a new service road, concrete curb, drainage improvements, and utility installation in the Metropointe Commerce Center. 16th Street northbound from Gandy Boulevard to Commerce Boulevard was reconstructed with concrete curb, sidewalk, drainage improvements, and pond reconstruction.
This project was completed in July of 2011 and was 395 calendar days in duration.
